Memorandum to the UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education

In preparation for the 2nd World Conference on Higher Education, organised by UNESCO in July 2009 in Bucharest, more than 20 student support organisations on five continents have published a memorandum, calling on governments and international organisations to recognize the important role that student service/student affairs organizations play in higher education, and to provide adequate means and support for learning environments in which students’ social, economic and cultural needs are fully addressed.
