Looking back at the ECStA General Assembly in Kiel, Germany

On 7 July 2026, European Council for Student Affairs members from more than 10 countries came together in Kiel and online for our annual General Assembly.

Meeting Agenda

The General Assembly went over many topics of importance for the institutional development of the ECStA, as well as explored ideas on fostering collaboration on promoting the social dimension of higher education in Europe. The agenda included:

  • Country reports and developments in student affairs and services in Europe
  • Upcoming ECStA activities
  • Changes in board members and management
  • Reforms in the institutional elements of the ECStA

We also reflected on achievements from the past year, which includes the launch of our communications campaign on LinkedIn and our brand new website.

Evening Reception

The General Assembly was followed by a lively evening reception in the Mensa building, bringing together ECStA members with European Student Affairs Conference (ESAC) 2026 speakers. The connections formed during the General Assembly meeting were deepened during this reception, preparing for a productive and collaborative week ahead at ESAC 2026.

We sincerely thank all ECStA members who joined us in-person and online and contributed to promoting the social dimension of higher education through international collaboration.
